2023 recap and group photo!

It’s time for The Sin List aka annual group photo with The Commentary Nobody Requested.  Without further ado, here's the big deal: To sum the doll year up, things turned into a massacre here towards the end of 2023. Here's my 2022 group photo (taken January 2023) to compare: The two headless dolls standing up were my Fantasia Doll sleepy Vivian and Iplehouse Douglas, whose heads were away for faceup at the time. The headless body sitting down is just a genuinely headless floating body. I used to have a big headless body issue (as opposed to most folks having a floating head infestation), but I think that among other things, I've finally come to terms with the fact that since I only like a handful of heads, it is not possible for me to own all of the dozen female bodies I like. So, I kept the absolute favourite bodies and let go of the rest. I tried to keep the remaining dolls in the same order as in the 2022 group photo the best I could so it would be easier to perceive

The Timeshifters - Men, Demons and Holy Angels

I'm in a writing mood (or in a mood to write just about anything if it saves me from writing the novel I am supposed to write), so I have another post right away. Before diving deep into my characters, I figured I could start by sharing some bits of who these resin chunks are and what they do. Right now, I have that information all scattered across a million platforms. Because my universe focuses on some fantasy elements, it’s best to start with them, probably? In case you haven't noticed so far, I'm not much of an outdoors(wo)man, so this blog also doubles as "my beautiful interior" blog, and "how often I don't clean my home" blog. First up, let’s take timeshifters, aka the dollies with supernatural powers. 10 of my 13 dolls belong to this story, so it's a definite majority. Timeshifters are regular humans who have been possessed by a demon that gives them the power. To say they are time travelers would be an overstatement, since timeshifters ca

Updates to the doll kingdom

Long time no write blog! So this time I write a novel. I thought it would be the easiest to write down some of my thoughts/collection updates here, since so much has happened in the past months. I really need to pick up the pace here because at this rate I don't get my current dolls introduced before they're all sold or something, lol. Some decorative material from a new acquisition of mine: I recently sold two of my rather old doll characters' shells and one newer shell without an intention to replace them. Reasons were rather simple: I felt like it's possible to keep the characters without necessarily having a physical shell for them. First, professor Jules Annesley, my Dollshe 28M Rey Lewis, "went to Harvard". It started out as a joke between me and a friend, but now I'm really pretending he got a transfer to another university. His sweetheart Grace can still text him when she needs him, but other than that I chose to let fate keep them apart. Mainly I

Lilia and Opal

I’m gonna break this blog’s integrity right away with my second post, and introduce the two only dolls that I currently own that aren’t a part of the Carol Cole universe a.k.a. have no relation to The Ginger Gunslinger. I got Lilia and Opal back from Pauli’s faceup workshop a week ago and am now pleased to announce that there’s a head on almost every body in the house! And so, it’s a proper time to get started with the character bios.   Aren't they cute? Since Jane divorced Carol, I've missed seeing a nice couple around.  Opal Amadeas is an Iplehouse EID Douglas, the Phantom of the Opera release with his fullset. His scar was mimicked with makeup. There’s a real scar head that was also an option with the fullset, but the Douglas I found last year happened to only come with this human head. He had some heavy wig staining and uneven yellowing when he came to me, but the price was good, so I bought him taking the risk that it may not come off. I was lucky since it was all on t

The Cliche Intoduction

I’m Lucifer, I’m 24, and I’m and addict. At least when it comes to BJD dolls. So’ I’ve finally done it. Instagram with its character limits and photo cropping and repeating shadow bans for no apparent reason apart from swearing too much has gotten me to create myself a blog. Carol had the honors of starring in the title, since he’s currently the Oldest Resin in the House. I’ll get this blog properly started with fresh pictures soon enough, but for now, let me just sprinkle the page with some gems from the past. As most of you probably know, my dolls are time-travelling outlaws from the Wild West ages. This blog shall be dedicated to their journey. It’s a weird universe that was accidentally born when I wanted my dolls to walk around in historical costumes, but there were also too many nice modern clothes around to pass them up. I hoarded the clothes, and then came up with an excuse to put them to use. Classic. I’ve written books and stories for almost half my life, and I’ve alw
